ARF Instrument Scientist

This role is ideal for highly specialized PhD holders in Physics or Chemistry with significant practical experience (preferably 5+ years) in Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction (SCXRD) techniques. Candidates with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining SCXRD facilities, who are seeking a contract-based position in a leading scientific research institution, will find this opportunity suitable. The position requires technical expertise in crystal picking, mounting, data collection, and processing.

Individuals without a PhD in Physics or Chemistry, or those lacking specific experience with SCXRD techniques, should not apply. The role is offered on a contract basis for an initial six months, which might not suit candidates looking for permanent employment. Those expecting additional allowances beyond the base remuneration will be disappointed as none are admissible. Candidates above 35 years of age as of the application deadline may also face disqualification.
