• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Applicants must hold a 2-year Integrated Post Graduate M.A./M.Sc. in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks from a Regional College of Education of NCERT. Alternatively, a Post-Graduation with 50% marks and a 3-year integrated B.Ed./M.Ed. is accepted. For specific subjects like Mathematics, History, and Psychology, a Master's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the respective subject is required. For PGT (Physical Education), a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with 50% marks and a minimum one-year B.P.Ed or equivalent, or a 2-year M.A.Ed. from a recognized institution, is essential.
• Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Candidates should possess a four-year Integrated Degree Course from a Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks. Other options include Post-Graduation with 50% marks and a 3-year integrated B.Ed./M.Ed., or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects. Specific requirements include Hindi/Sanskrit as a subject in all three years of Graduation, a Bachelor's degree in Science with any two subjects from Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics. For TGT (Computer Science), a BCA or Graduation in Computer Science/BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/IT), or a Graduation in any subject combined with an 'A' level course from DOEACC is necessary.
• Primary Teacher (PRT): A Graduate holding a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks is essential. Alternatively, B.El.Ed/2-Year D.El.Ed. is accepted. For PRT (Activity - PAT), B.P.Ed or D.P.Ed is required. PRT (Dance) needs a Diploma in Dance. PRT (Computer Science) requires a BCA or Graduation in Computer Science/BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/IT). For PRT (Art & Craft), a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts/Visual Arts/Art & Craft with a minimum of 50% marks is needed.
• Kindergarten Teacher (KGT): A minimum two-year Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education / Pre-School Education / Early Childhood Education Programme (D.E.E.Ed) is essential. A B.Ed (Nursery) from an NCTE-recognised institution, or NTT/Montessori training, or an ECCE qualification from recognized institutions (like IGNOU/NIOS) is also acceptable.
