Candidates must meet either Eligibility A or B:
A. Essential Qualification:- A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in:
- For the position in CRPG: Economics and related disciplines.
- For the position in CCSS: Environment, Climate, and Sustainability Studies and related disciplines.
- Additionally, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited test (SLET/SET).
- OR candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their amendments, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Specific conditions apply for Ph.D. candidates registered prior to July 11, 2009.
- A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by QS, THE, or ARWU at any time.
- For Assistant Professor in CRPG: Ph.D. in economics-related subjects (financial economics, public policy, governance) with a proven research/teaching track record in quantitative methods. Familiarity with regulatory policies, economic regulation, urban policies, and natural resource economics.
- For Assistant Professor in CCSS: Ph.D. in interdisciplinary subjects (Climate studies, Policy studies, Environmental studies, Energy studies, Development studies) with an excellent academic and publication record. Orientation to social sciences and ability to teach theory and field-based courses.
