Centre for High Energy Systems & Sciences (CHESS) DRDO Paid Internships 2026: 20 Vacancies for UG/PG Engineering/Science Students

This internship is ideal for final year undergraduate or postgraduate engineering and science students with an outstanding academic record (75% marks or 7.5 CGPA). Candidates aspiring for a career in defence research, particularly in fields like Laser, Optics, Opto-Electronics, and Mechanical/Electronics/Computer/Chemical Engineering, will find this a valuable opportunity to gain practical exposure within a premier DRDO centre.

Students who are not in their final year of UG/PG studies, or those with academic records below the specified 75% marks/7.5 CGPA, should not apply. The internship is strictly for 6 months and requires a minimum of 15 days attendance per month to be eligible for the stipend. Non-completion of the 6-month tenure or failure to meet attendance requirements will result in non-payment of stipend. Applicants over 28 years of age are also ineligible.
