Community Auditors

This role is ideal for women who are active members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under NRLM with at least two years of experience. Candidates should be minimum 12th pass, preferably graduates with a commerce background, possess basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Internet), and have clear knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting. A strong desire to learn new skills, acquire knowledge, be physically fit, and work in rural areas within Purba Bardhaman and potentially beyond is essential.

Men are not eligible to apply. SHG members currently engaged in other government-paid work (e.g., ICDS, ASHA, VRP) or with non-government organizations are ineligible. Additionally, SHG members acting as Office Bearers or BOD members of Sangha Cooperative/Upasangha/Mahasangha, or those with a PRI portfolio, are explicitly excluded. Lack of at least two years of active SHG membership under NRLM is also a disqualifier.

This is an empanelment-based, contractual role under the District Mission Management Unit & District Rural Development Cell, which are crucial for implementing the West Bengal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (WBSRLM). While it offers honorarium-based remuneration rather than a traditional government salary, it provides significant experience in community social auditing, financial management, and rural development. This role is vital for grassroots empowerment and offers valuable exposure to government-led livelihood initiatives, potentially serving as a stepping stone for future community-focused careers, though formal government growth paths are not explicitly defined.
