Primary Medical Degree: MBBS from a recognized University or Institution.
Postgraduate Specialization: MD/MS/DNB degree or DNB diploma recognized by the Medical Council of India in one of the following specialties: General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Chest & TB, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Anaesthesiology, and Radiology.
Registration: Must be registered with the Punjab Medical Council or the Medical Council of India.
Language Proficiency: Must have passed the subject of Punjabi up to the Matriculation standard.

Walk-in Interview: After submitting the online application, candidates must attend a Walk-in Interview at the Office of the Civil Surgeon of the respective district for which they have applied.

Note: If an interview date falls on a gazetted holiday, it will be conducted on the next working day. No separate interview notices will be issued.
