Doctoral Research Fellow

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree from a UGC recognized (public or private) institution, institution of national importance, or international institution. The degree should have been awarded not more than three years prior to the application deadline. For Indian nationals, a relaxation of two years is provided for OBC/EWS/SC/ST/Women/PwD candidates, meaning their Ph.D. should have been awarded not more than five years prior to the deadline.

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. and are awaiting the award of the degree are also eligible to apply upon submission of a Provisional Certificate.

The upper age limit for the fellowship is 32 years at the time of application submission. Age relaxation of up to 3 years will be provided to candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Women / PwD / EWS categories, making their upper age limit 35 years.
