This role is ideal for retired bank employees who held positions at Scale-III or higher, are not more than 62 years old as of January 1, 2026, and possess strong computer, communication, and financial knowledge relevant to Self Help Groups (SHGs). Candidates must be willing and physically fit to travel extensively in rural areas of Malda to support bank-related issues for SHGs and related federations. A desire to learn new skills is also a key attribute.

Individuals without prior banking experience at a supervisory or managerial level (Scale-III or higher) should not apply. Candidates exceeding 62 years of age as of the specified cut-off date, or those lacking fundamental computer skills, good communication abilities, and specific knowledge of SHG functioning and financial inclusion processes, will not be suitable. An unwillingness to travel to rural areas is also a dealbreaker.

This is a contractual engagement on a daily remuneration basis for a government project at the district level in West Bengal. While it offers a valuable opportunity for retired banking professionals to contribute their expertise to rural development and financial inclusion initiatives, it is not a permanent government position and therefore offers limited long-term career growth in terms of traditional employment.
