Guest Faculty

This role is ideal for recently retired Lecturers, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Readers, or Professors from public universities or government/aided colleges in Odisha. Candidates should hold a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks in one of the specified subjects (Botany, Economics, English, History, Logic & Philosophy, Mathematics, Odia, Political Science, Sanskrit, Zoology). A Ph.D. will attract higher remuneration. Applicants must be in sound health and willing to attend duty regularly, with a clean service record free from any disciplinary issues.

Individuals who are not retired teachers, do not possess a Master's Degree with the required marks, or are unwilling to work on a temporary/contractual basis should not apply. Those with pending departmental proceedings, recovery issues, audit paras, or criminal cases are ineligible. Candidates older than 69 years as of the application date will not be considered.

Atal Behari College is an aided college operating under the guidelines of the Odisha Higher Education Department. While the positions are temporary and contractual, they offer an opportunity for experienced academics to continue contributing to higher education. Remuneration is competitive for guest faculty roles, ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, depending on qualifications and prior designation. The engagement provides a stable, short-term academic role within a state-affiliated institution.
