Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of 10th standard (Matriculation) pass from an educational institution recognized by either the Central Government or a State Government.

Age Limit Details

The crucial date for age calculation is 01-08-2025. The minimum age required is 18 years.
Maximum age limits are defined as follows:
  • Unreserved / Economically Weaker Section (EWS) (Male): 25 years
  • Extremely Backward Class-I (EBC-I) / Backward Class-II (BC-II) (Male): 27 years
  • Unreserved / EWS / EBC-I / BC-II (Female): 28 years
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) (Male & Female): 30 years

Age relaxations are applicable for specific categories:
  • Home Guards: A relaxation of up to 5 years in the maximum age limit.
  • Ex-servicemen: Maximum age limit of 45 years.
  • Contractual Assistant Police: Specific age limits apply, varying by category (e.g., 35, 37, 38, 40 years).

  • Fee Payment: Proceed to pay the applicable examination fee online.
  • Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of a recent passport-sized photograph and your full signature.
  • Final Submission & Printout: Carefully review all entered details and uploaded documents. Once satisfied, submit the application. It is mandatory to take a printout of the final application form for future reference.

Application Fee

The application fee for general candidates is Rs. 100/-. However, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates who are permanent residents of Jharkhand State are eligible for a reduced fee of Rs. 50/-. It is important to note that all examination fees are non-refundable, and applications submitted without the prescribed fee will be rejected.
