Junior Engineer Civil Degree, Junior Engineer Civil Diploma & Junior Engineer Mechanical/Electrical Diploma

As per the Seventh Pay Commission of the State Government, the pay scale for Junior Engineer is fixed at Pay Matrix Level-10. During the probation period, a fixed monthly remuneration will be payable as per state government orders. All individuals appointed through direct recruitment will have a probation period of two years. During this period, a fixed remuneration will be paid as per rates determined by the state government, instead of the pay scale. Other allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Special Pay, etc., will not be applicable during probation. Other facilities and leave during probation will be as per the amended provisions of the Rajasthan Service Rules. Upon successful completion of training, passing the examination, and satisfactory conduct, candidates will be eligible for the minimum of the pay scale and other allowances as per rules, and will be eligible for regularization.

The examination for Junior Engineer posts (Civil Degree/Diploma, Mechanical/Electrical Diploma) will be a Computer Based Test (CBT)/Tablet Based Test (TBT)/Offline (OMR Based) exam, tentatively scheduled for February 2027. The Board reserves the right to change the exam date. If the exam is conducted in multiple phases, normalization procedures will be applied.

Exam Scheme:

• The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions, with equal marks for all questions.
• Total Marks: 120
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (Candidates scoring less than 40% will not be eligible for appointment).
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

• Part A: General Knowledge (40 Marks)
  • Rajasthan History, Art, Culture, Literature, Traditions, and Heritage.
  • Rajasthan Geography.
  • Rajasthan Political and Administrative System.
• Part B: Subject-Specific (80 Marks)
  • Civil Engineering (Degree/Diploma): Building Technology and Construction Management, Fluid Mechanics, Surveying, Estimating Costing & Field Engineering, Irrigation & Water Resources, Theory of Structures and Strength of Materials, Structural Analysis, Soil Mechanics and Foundations Engineering, Design of R.C. Concrete and Masonry Structures, Design of Steel Structures, Construction Technology, Auto-CAD Civil Engineering Drawing, Public Health Engineering, Highway and Bridges.
  • Electrical Engineering (Diploma): Basic Concepts, Circuit Laws, Magnetic Circuits, AC Fundamentals, Measurement & Measuring Instruments, Electrical Machines, Synchronous Machines, Generation Transmission and Distribution, Estimation and Costing, Utilization of Electrical Energy, Basic Electronics.
  • Mechanical Engineering (Diploma): Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Machines, Internal Combustion Engines, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Auto-CAD Mechanical Engineering Drawings, Thermo Dynamics.

• Login to the SSO Portal.
• Select 'Recruitment Portal' under Citizen Apps (G2C).
• Click on 'Apply Now' for the Junior Engineer Combined Direct Recruitment 2026.
• Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process carefully, paying the required registration fee if not already done.
• Fill out the online application form with all required details, including a recent photo (not older than 1 month) and visible body marks.
• Ensure all academic qualifications and other details are entered correctly as per the recruitment notification.
• Verify all information before final submission. No amendments will be allowed for name, father's name, date of birth, photo, signature, thumb impression after final submission. Limited changes to other fields may be allowed within a specified correction window for a fee.
• Candidates are advised to review the detailed advertisement on the board's website before applying.
• Retain a printout of the submitted application form and application ID for future reference.
