Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a BS (4-year), BE/B.Tech, B.Pharm, Integrated BS-MS, MSc, B.Sc(Hons.) or an Equivalent degree.
Minimum 55% marks required for General/OBC candidates, and 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Mandatory qualification of GATE or CSIR-NET.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree alone are eligible for fellowship only after enrolling in Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. Programme within two years of JRF-NET certificate validity.

Age Limit Details

Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates.
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates.

Salary & Pay Scale

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is Rs. 37,000/- p.m. for the first and second years.
Fellowship increases to Rs. 42,000/- p.m. from the third year upon upgradation.
HRA will be provided as per institute norms.
