Best-Fit Profile
This role is ideal for highly motivated Civil or Water Resources Engineering graduates (B.Tech/B.E. and M.Tech/M.E.) with a strong academic record (60-70% aggregate/CGPA 6.5-7.5) who are passionate about research in sustainable reservoir management and jet-induced sediment removal technologies. Candidates with prior experience in experimental hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics, and those qualified in national-level exams (GATE/UGC/CSIR/INSPIRE/NET) will be highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at NIT Warangal and is suitable for individuals seeking temporary, project-based research exposure.
Important Considerations
Candidates without a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering and an M.Tech/M.E. in Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent) with the specified academic percentages should not apply. Those seeking permanent government employment or positions with a high number of vacancies may find this role unsuitable due to its temporary nature and single vacancy. Applicants who do not meet the specific age limits for their category as of the notification date are also ineligible.
Career Impact
NIT Warangal is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, offering significant academic prestige. This JRF position, though temporary, provides valuable research experience on a sponsored project, enhancing a candidate's profile for future academic or research roles, including potential Ph.D. registration at a reputed institution. The role offers specialized exposure in a critical area of water resource management, contributing to both personal career growth and national developmental goals.
