Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for exceptional Ph.D. holders in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines with a strong research background in gas hydrates or hydrogen storage. Candidates must have a proven publication record as first author in SCI-indexed international journals and possess practical experience with high-pressure experimental setups and characterization techniques. A passion for cutting-edge research leading to high-impact publications and a willingness to mentor students are key.

Important Considerations

Individuals without a Ph.D. in the specified fields, those lacking a strong publication record (at least two SCI-indexed papers as first author), or without relevant experimental expertise in gas hydrates or hydrogen storage will not be suitable. Candidates whose Ph.D. thesis defense is more than three years old may also find themselves at a disadvantage.

Career Impact

Working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Roorkee, a premier national institute, offers significant academic prestige and an excellent platform for advanced research. This position provides an opportunity to collaborate with Prof. Hari Prakash Veluswamy on a critical project, enhancing one's research profile and opening doors for future academic or R&D careers. The fellowship's duration of two years provides a solid foundation for further career progression in research.
