- A medical qualification recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- A postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD, MS, DM, MCh) in the concerned specialty or a recognized equivalent qualification.
- Master's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A Doctorate degree from a recognized university.
Candidates holding DNB in broad or super specialties must produce documentary evidence of DNB equivalence with MD/MS/DM/MCh as per MCI notifications.
