Project Associate II

This role is ideal for highly motivated postgraduate candidates with an MVSc., M.Tech., or MSc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Immunology, who also possess a NET/GATE qualification and at least two years of R&D experience in a related scientific field. Candidates with specific experience in cell culture, animal experiments, FACS, IFA, molecular biology, and BSL2 lab work, particularly on protozoan parasite-based research, will be strongly preferred. It's suitable for individuals seeking short-term project-based research exposure in a government-affiliated institute.

Candidates lacking a postgraduate degree in the specified fields or without the mandatory 2 years of R&D experience should not apply. Those primarily seeking permanent government employment might find the contractual nature (till Sep 2026) a dealbreaker. Individuals who cannot meet the age limit of 35 years as of the application deadline are also unsuitable. Applicants without specific experience in BSL2 lab work or molecular biology techniques might face a disadvantage.
