Best-Fit Profile

Candidates with a B.Tech, M.Tech, or Diploma in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering/Mechatronics, particularly those with experience in R&D or project work, are ideal. Individuals seeking contractual engagement in advanced research and development projects related to smart farm machinery will find these roles rewarding. Those who have qualified national level examinations (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE) or possess specific research experience will be highly preferred for better remuneration.

Important Considerations

Individuals looking for permanent government employment should not apply as these are contractual, project-based positions with a fixed tenure (extendable). Those without the specified engineering/technology degrees or relevant diploma, or who are not prepared for a walk-in interview with original documents, will not be considered. Applicants seeking positions with a high number of vacancies might find this opportunity limited due to the small number of posts.

Career Impact

CSIR-CMERI is a reputable autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, offering exposure to state-of-the-art laboratories and R&D projects in smart farm machinery. While these are contractual project positions, they provide valuable experience and a strong foundation for a career in research and development, especially within the government research sector. The experience gained can be highly beneficial for future permanent roles.
