Best-Fit Profile
This role is ideal for highly qualified individuals with a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or M.E./M.Tech. with significant research experience (minimum 3 years post-M.Tech. and an SCI publication). Candidates should have a strong interest in temporary, project-based research, particularly in areas related to Antenna/Rectifier/Rectenna design using advanced software. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on an ISRO-sponsored project within an Institute of National Importance.
Important Considerations
Candidates without a Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech. in ECE with the stipulated research experience (including SCI publication) are not suitable. Individuals seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as this is a temporary project-based position for a maximum duration of two years. Those lacking specific experience with HFSS/CST/ADS software might find themselves at a disadvantage, although it's listed as desirable.
Career Impact
Working as a Research Associate at NIT Silchar on an ISRO-sponsored project offers significant academic and research prestige. While temporary, the experience gained on a project related to futuristic space missions, under the guidance of Principal Investigators from NIT Silchar, can greatly enhance a candidate's profile for future academic, research, or industry positions, especially within the aerospace and electronics sectors. It provides valuable exposure to national-level research initiatives.
