Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Senior Consultant/Consultant: MBBS with a Post Graduate degree/diploma in Psychiatry, registered with Punjab Medical Council/Indian Medical Council.
- Clinical Psychologist/Psychiatric Social Worker: 1st or 2nd Class M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology or M.A./MSW in Medical Psychiatric Social Work, along with a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in a relevant specialization. RCI Certification is mandatory for Clinical Psychologists. Punjabi pass upto Matric standard is also required.
- Psychologist/Social Worker: 1st or 2nd Class M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology or M.A./MSW in Medical Psychiatric Social Work. Punjabi pass upto Matric standard is required.
- Psychiatric Nurse: M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized institute as per the Indian Nursing Council guidelines. Punjabi pass upto Matric standard is required.
- Counselors: Requires a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology/Social Work or related disciplines like MA Sociology/Psychology, OR a Bachelor's degree in psychology/social work/nursing with 2 years of experience in mental health work (preferably counseling). Punjabi pass upto Matric standard is also required.
Age Limit Details
- Senior Consultant/Consultant: Age up to 64 years.
- Clinical Psychologist/Psychiatric Social Worker: Age up to 45 years.
- Psychologist/Social Worker/Psychiatric Nurse/Counselors: Age between 18 to 37 years as per the Government of Punjab rules.
- For Psychiatric Nurse candidates with M.Phil/Ph.D: Age up to 45 years.
- The age limit will be calculated as on 01-01-2022.
- Reservation and age relaxation will be provided as per applicable Punjab Government Policy Guidelines.
