Senior Fellowship

This fellowship is ideal for accomplished individuals aged 40 and above, who possess a strong academic or professional background in specific 'New Areas' of culture (excluding performing, literary, and visual arts). Candidates must demonstrate a proven capability for undertaking high-quality, research-oriented projects, with a robust project proposal ready for submission. It suits those seeking a project-based award to further their research in Indian culture.

Individuals under 40 years of age as of April 1, 1986, or those without a strong research background in the specified cultural fields should not apply. The fellowship is not a permanent job or a monthly pension, nor is it intended for general training, workshops, or memoir writing. Applicants whose primary interests lie in performing, literary, or visual arts are also unsuitable, as these fields are explicitly excluded.
