Senior Research Officer & Research Officer

This role is most suitable for individuals holding a Ph.D. (submitted/awarded) in Population Studies, Demography, Social Sciences, or Health Sciences. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in qualitative data management, analysis, and writing, evidenced by at least two peer-reviewed publications in maternal health. Practical working experience of two years in maternal health, data collection tool development, report preparation, and familiarity with qualitative software are highly desirable.

Candidates without a Ph.D. in the specified fields or lacking relevant peer-reviewed publications should not apply. Individuals looking for permanent employment should note this is a contract-based position (initially 3 months, extendable). Those without experience in qualitative data management, particularly in maternal health, will find this role unsuitable.

IIPS, Mumbai, a Deemed University under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, offers a reputable environment for population research. While this project-based role provides valuable experience and exposure to significant research, it is short-term.
