Best-Fit Profile
This recruitment is ideal for qualified medical professionals – Super Specialists, Specialists, and Senior Residents – who possess relevant postgraduate medical degrees (DM/MCh/DNB/MD/MS/Diploma) and the specified years of experience. It suits those seeking contractual engagements in various departments within a government hospital setting in Kerala, offering competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work in an accredited hospital that conducts DNB training courses. It's a good fit for individuals looking for a stable short-term or extendable engagement to further their medical career in public healthcare.
Important Considerations
Individuals aspiring for immediate permanent government positions should note these are contractual roles, although performance-based extensions are possible. Candidates lacking the specific medical postgraduate qualifications or the mandatory experience requirements for their desired role should not apply. Additionally, those who have already completed three years of Senior Residency in any Central Institution are ineligible for the Senior Resident posts. Unwillingness to work on a contractual basis or relocate to Kollam, Kerala, would also make this unsuitable.
Career Impact
ESIC, a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, offers a reputable and stable platform for medical practice. Working at an ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital provides significant professional experience and prestige within the public health sector. While the roles are contractual, they offer valuable exposure, involvement in DNB training, and potential for long-term engagement or future opportunities within the wider government healthcare system.
