Veterinary Officer

The selection process involves a Written Examination (Objective Type) with negative marking (1/4th of the assigned marks for each incorrect answer). The examination will consist of three papers:

• Paper-I: General Studies & General Hindi
  • No. of Questions: 100 (80 for General Studies, 20 for General Hindi)
  • Max. Marks: 200 (160 for General Studies, 40 for General Hindi)
  • Time Duration: 2 hours
  • Syllabus (General Studies): General Science & Computer, History of India & Indian National Movement, Indian Polity, Geography & Demography of India, Current Events (Uttarakhand & National), History of Uttarakhand, Culture of Uttarakhand, Geography & Demography of Uttarakhand, Economic & Natural Resources of Uttarakhand, General Intelligence Test.
  • Syllabus (General Hindi): Swar & Vyanjan, Noun, Pronoun, Tatasam, Tadbhav, Pratyay, Upsarg, Samas, Sandhi, Paryayvachi, Vilom Shabd, One Word Substitution, Muhavare & Lokokti, Viram Chihn.
• Paper-II: Veterinary Science
  • No. of Questions: 150
  • Max. Marks: 300
  • Time Duration: 3 hours
  • Syllabus: Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Gynecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Clinics.
• Paper-III: Animal Sciences
  • No. of Questions: 150
  • Max. Marks: 300
  • Time Duration: 3 hours
  • Syllabus: Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Livestock Production Management, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Products Technology.

Candidates must follow the steps below to apply online:

1. Visit the official website: psc.uk.gov.in or ukpsc.net.in.
2. Navigate to the 'How to Apply' link in the Menubar, then click on 'Apply Now' after reviewing Advertisement Details, Important Dates, and Instructions.
3. Complete the Registration Form by providing accurate personal details and creating a login password, then click 'Submit'.
4. Review the basic information displayed. If correct, tick "I have verified all the details entered by me in the registration form and wish to submit the same" and submit. If changes are needed, click "No, I want to change some details," make corrections, and re-submit the registration form.
5. After successful primary registration, details will be displayed, and a message will be sent to your registered mobile number and email. Click on "Click here to login" to proceed.
6. Fill in your educational details (High School, Intermediate, Graduate, and other qualifications) on the Educational Details page by clicking 'Add Education Details'. Use the Edit/Delete icons to correct any errors. Continue to fill other details.
7. Upload your photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines on the 'Photo & Signature to Upload' tab. You can re-upload if necessary.
8. After uploading, tick the declaration "I hereby declare that the photograph & signature are correct and accurate representation of myself" and click 'Continue'. Review the entire application form. Correct any errors using the 'Back & Edit' button. If satisfied, tick the final declaration and click 'Proceed Button'.
9. Proceed to pay the application fee using the 'Pay Now' button.
10. After successful payment, click 'Print Application' to download and print a copy of your completed application form.
11. Candidates can cancel their application after final submission (but fees will not be refunded). They can re-apply by cancelling the previous application and paying the fee again.

Note: Orphan children residing in voluntary/government homes in Uttarakhand are exempt from application fees but must complete the application process.

Editing/Correction window will be opened once for 10 days after the application deadline (2026-09-22 to 2026-10-01). During this period, applicants can log in with their email ID and password to modify details, excluding mobile number and email ID. Category/sub-category changes may require additional fee payment.

Application fees can be submitted via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI Payment. The fee structure is as follows:

Note: Applicants belonging to Uttarakhand Freedom Fighter dependents, Uttarakhand Women, Uttarakhand Ex-servicemen, Skilled Players, or Uttarakhand State Movement affected categories will pay fees as per their original category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS).

For Divyang (PWD) sub-categories, application fees are waived, but a processing fee including tax of Rs. 16.36 is applicable.

Application forms will not be accepted if fees are paid after the last date.
