Administrative Officer, Accounts Officer & Purchase & Stores Officer

Selected candidates will be appointed as Officers in Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100/- p.m. In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules. Employees will be covered under the National Pension System. Other admissible benefits include Contributory Health Service Scheme for self and dependent family members, canteen facility, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), departmental transport facility, Leave Travel Concession, and Group Insurance, as per extant Rules.

The written test for all posts (Administrative Officer, Accounts Officer, Purchase & Stores Officer) will have a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. It comprises Objective Type-Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Descriptive questions. MCQs carry 3 marks for each correct answer and a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Descriptive questions carry 10 marks each. The selection process will involve a written test (60% weightage) and an interview (40% weightage).

  • Part C: Questions relating to Special Area in Personnel and General Administration covering Constitution of India (including Reservations in Govt. Service), Industrial Disputes Act, Workmen's Compensation Act, Contract Labour Regulation Act, Apprentices Act, Right to Information Act, Minimum Wages Act, Basic management principles of human resources management (including organisation behaviour, motivation, leadership, training and development).
  • Part D: Descriptive (Precise writing, Essay writing, Comprehension, Letter writing).
• Accounts:
  • Part A: General Studies, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning.
  • Part B: English Grammar of Graduation Level.
  • Part C: Questions relating to Special Area in Finance and Accounts covering Principles of Auditing, Costing, Balance Sheet reading, Ratio analysis, Management Accountancy, Mercantile Law, Banking Practices, Taxation, Basics of Economics.
  • Part D: Descriptive (Precise writing, Essay writing, Comprehension, Letter writing).
• Purchase and Stores:
  • Part A: General Studies, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning.
  • Part B: English Grammar of Graduation Level.
  • Part C: Questions relating to Special Area in Purchase and Stores covering Material Management, Import and Export Policy and Procedures, Duties and Taxes - Central and State, Inventory Management, Contract Act, Sale of Goods Act, E-procurement, Capital Budgeting and relevant Mercantile Acts.
  • Part D: Descriptive (Precise writing, Essay writing, Comprehension, Letter writing).

Candidates must apply online through the PRL website at https://www.prl.res.in/prl-eng/job_vacancies. The online registration window will be open from 25.07.2026 to 24.08.2026. Applicants registered under the National Career Services (NCS) portal who fulfill the eligibility conditions may also apply by following the specified procedure. Candidates should apply for only ONE POST (i.e., Administrative Officer OR Accounts Officer OR Purchase & Stores Officer). A valid Email ID is compulsory for all future correspondence.

The application fee is ₹250/- for all posts. Initially, all applicants are required to pay a uniform fee of ₹750/-. However, candidates belonging to fee-exempted categories (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ExS) will receive a full refund of ₹750/- if they attend the written test. UR/EWS/OBC candidates will be refunded ₹500/- if they attend the written test. No refund will be provided to candidates who fail to attend the written test.

Candidates must furnish correct bank account details with IFSC code for the refund process. Payments can be made online using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. The last date for fee payment is 24.08.2026.
