Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A medical qualification (like MBBS) as per the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
- Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
- A postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from a recognized University/Institute.
- For certain departments, equivalent qualifications are also accepted. For example:
- Cardiology, General Medicine, etc.: MD in Medicine.
- Burns & Plastic Surgery, etc.: MS in General Surgery.
- Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology (Non-Medical): M.Sc./M.Biotech in the subject and a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied subject.
- A valid qualification (pass certificate) must be available as on the last date for the receipt of applications.
