About All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-4 is a specialized recruitment initiative designed to facilitate timely appointments for various regular Non-Faculty Group-B and Group-C positions across numerous participating All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and other Central Government Institutes/Bodies. These institutions operate as autonomous bodies or subordinate offices under the administrative control of the Government of India, functioning independently from AIIMS, New Delhi.

The CRE platform streamlines the application process through a single-window system, ensuring adherence to the Recruitment Rules (RRs) of each participating organization. AIIMS New Delhi primarily functions as the conducting body for the Computer Based Test (CBT) and other examination processes, based on vacancy details and eligibility criteria provided by the individual participating organizations.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • For Group C posts like Electrician, Driver, Tailor: 10th Standard pass or equivalent, often with an ITI Diploma in a relevant trade.
  • For Junior Administrative Assistant, LDC, Stenographer: 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University, along with specified computer typing or shorthand skills.
  • For various Technical Assistants, Lab Attendants, Medical Record Technicians: 10+2 (Science) with a Diploma/Certificate in a specialized field (e.g., Medical Lab Technology, OT techniques, Radiography) and often relevant experience.
  • For Junior Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Pharmacists, Store Officers, Librarians, Medical Social Workers: A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant engineering, science, or humanities discipline, or a Diploma with additional experience. Many posts require a Master's degree (e.g., M.Sc., MA, MSW) for officer-level positions.
  • Specialized Medical/Paramedical roles (e.g., Perfusionist, Embryologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist): Require B.Sc. or Master's degrees in specialized fields, sometimes with specific certifications or higher degrees like Ph.D. or MBBS.
  • Proficiency in Computers: Frequently listed as a desirable or essential qualification across various roles.

Age Limit Details

The crucial date for determining age eligibility is the closing date of online registration (02-12-2025). General age limits for various posts range from 18-27 years, 18-30 years, 21-30 years, or 21-35 years, and up to 40 years for some specific positions or institutes (e.g., AIIMS New Delhi for its employees). Age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India rules:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PWBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service plus 3 years.
  • Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group B): 5 years.
  • Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group C, UR): Up to 40 years of age (with 3 years regular service).
  • Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group C, OBC): Up to 43 years of age (with 3 years regular service).
  • Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group C, SC/ST): Up to 45 years of age (with 3 years regular service).
  • J&K Domiciled (UR/General): 5 years.
  • J&K Domiciled (OBC): 8 years.
  • J&K Domiciled (SC/ST): 10 years.
  • Widows/Divorced Women (UR/General): Up to 35 years of age.
  • Widows/Divorced Women (OBC): Up to 38 years of age.
  • Widows/Divorced Women (SC/ST): Up to 40 years of age.

Specific relaxations for employees of certain AIIMS (e.g., AIIMS Bilaspur, AIIMS Raipur) may also apply, up to a maximum of 5 years.

Salary & Pay Scale

How to Apply

Eligible Indian nationals must apply online through the official website www.aiimsexams.ac.in by the closing date mentioned in the Important Dates section. No physical documents, including the Registration Slip or proof of payment, are required to be sent. Applicants are advised to keep copies of their registration slips and payment proof for their records. Corrections to the application form will not be allowed after the specified dates.

Applicants for different groups must fill separate applications and pay fees for each group. Eligibility criteria for specific posts under a group may vary. Candidates must fulfill all essential requirements by the closing date of online application submission; failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature and forfeiture of fees. Required educational qualification/experience must be completed on or before the application deadline. Uploaded images (photo, signature, thumb impression) must adhere to the guidelines provided in the 'Upload Image Instructions'.

Choices and preferences for participating organizations will be invited from qualified candidates at a later stage. Failure to exercise these choices within the given duration will result in non-consideration for selection for those organizations/posts. An 'No Objection Certificate' from the current employer is mandatory for candidates working in Government/Semi or Quasi Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 3000/-
  • SC/ST Candidates/EWS: Rs. 2400/- (Application fees for SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded)
  • Persons with Disabilities: Exempted

Candidates applying for more than one group must submit separate applications and pay the examination fee for each group. Fees can be paid online via DEBIT CARD/CREDIT CARD/NETBANKING. Transaction/processing fees are payable by the candidate.
