Best-Fit Profile
This opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals, including postgraduates in Public Health, Social Work, or Medical fields (MD/MDS/MPH/MBBS/BDS), and diploma/graduate holders in Radiology/Medical Lab Technology/Nursing, who possess relevant experience (1-3 years) in research, field-based activities, data analysis, or operating medical equipment. Candidates seeking short-term, impactful engagement within a prestigious medical research environment under an ICMR-funded project will find these roles suitable. Proficiency in Marathi language is also a preferred skill for field-based roles.
Important Considerations
Individuals seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as these are strictly temporary, project-based contractual positions (up to 12 months) with no guarantee of extension or regular absorption at AIIMS Nagpur or ICMR. Those who cannot commit to the intensive field visits around Nagpur district, or who lack the specified educational qualifications and mandatory work experience for each post, will not be suitable.
Career Impact
Working at AIIMS Nagpur, a Central Government autonomous body, offers significant prestige and exposure to high-quality medical research environments. While the roles are contractual and temporary, they provide valuable experience in an ICMR-funded project, enhancing a candidate's profile for future research or public health sector positions. These roles contribute to a vital national research project on tuberculosis, offering a chance to make a real-world impact, though without long-term career progression within AIIMS itself.
