For Medical Candidates:
- Possess a medical qualification as per Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, fulfilling conditions of Section 13(3) of the Act.
- Hold a Postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in the respective discipline/subject, registered in a State or National Medical Register.
- Alternatively, for super specialties, an M.Ch. (Surgical) or D.M. (Medical) of 2, 3, or 5 years recognized course, or an equivalent qualification, is acceptable.
For Non-Medical Candidates (Limited to Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology):
- Non-medical graduation with an M.Sc. (relevant medical) and PhD qualifications from a recognized Medical College/Institute as a regular on-campus course.
DNB Equivalence: Applicants with DNB in broad specialties or Dr NB in super specialties must provide documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch. This includes training in a medical institution with an attached hospital of 500+ beds or one year of Senior Residency in a recognized medical college after passing DNB/Dr NB if training was in a hospital with less than 500 beds.
