- For Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree with 55% marks in subjects like Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, or Geography.
- Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test like SLET/SET.
- Alternatively, candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
- Persons with a P.G. Degree in subjects other than Demography/Population Studies must have completed a minimum one-year regular course in Demography/Population Studies.
