Assistant Professor

This role is ideal for highly qualified individuals holding an MD/MS (Ayurveda) in Shalakya Tantra, coupled with a minimum of three years of postgraduate teaching and/or research experience in the relevant field. Candidates must demonstrate a strong academic record, including at least three published research papers in UGC CARE listed journals. Preference will be given to those with specialized experience in Karna, Nasa evam Mukha Roga (ENT), basic computer knowledge, and experience in drafting and handling projects. This contractual position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to a prestigious central government autonomous institution.

Candidates seeking a permanent government position should not apply, as this is a purely contractual and temporary engagement. Individuals who do not possess the mandatory MD/MS (Ayurveda) qualification in Shalakya Tantra, or lack the requisite three years of post-qualification teaching/research experience, along with the minimum publication requirement (three UGC CARE papers), will not be considered. Those without a foundational Degree in Ayurveda recognized under the specified Acts are also ineligible.

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, affording significant institutional prestige. A contractual engagement at such an institute provides excellent exposure and enhances one's professional profile within the academic and research community of Ayurveda. While the position itself is temporary, the experience gained is highly valued, potentially opening doors for future opportunities in esteemed government or academic settings. However, it does not offer the long-term stability associated with permanent roles.
