The posts fall under Group B (Non-Gazetted) with Pay Level – 7, Cell – 1, corresponding to a pay matrix of Rs. 44,900 –Rs. 1,42,400.

• In addition to the basic pay, usual allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc., will be provided at Central Government rates as applicable to the place of posting.
• Council employees are also eligible for accommodation of entitled type as per CSIR Residence Allotment rules, where HRA will not be admissible.
• Other benefits include reimbursement of Medical expenses, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), House Building Advance (HBA), etc., as applicable.
• The posts will be governed by the New Pension System (NPS) applicable from 01.01.2004.

The Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be a qualifying examination, carrying 100 marks and of 1-hour duration. It will assess proficiency in:

• Word Processing: Including typing passages and other word processing exercises.
• Spreadsheet: Preparation of spreadsheets.
• Generation of Slides: Preparation of PowerPoint presentations and related exercises, as required for daily office functioning.

• Certificates/Documents (PDF, Max 1 MB each):
  • Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Educational Qualifications (10th onwards) - single merged PDF for passing certificate and mark sheets.
  • CSE-2024 Mark sheets (Preliminary Test and Mains + Personality Test) - single merged PDF.
  • Experience certificate (if claimed).
  • Caste/Community & Disability certificate (if applicable).
  • Any other supporting documents.

Online Application Procedure:

1. Visit the official CSIR recruitment portal.
2. Click 'Apply online' and register using your UPSC Roll Number, email, and mobile number.
3. Upon successful registration, you will receive a User ID and password (change password immediately).
4. Log in and complete your profile page (basic details, category, PwBD status, etc.). Verify and lock your profile as details cannot be modified later.
5. Fill out the 6 tabs of the Online Application Form: Apply, Personal Details, Education, Experience, Additional details, Uploads.
6. Preview and verify all information before clicking 'Submit'.
7. After submission, an "Application No." will be generated.
8. If applicable, make fee payment via SBI COLLECT hyperlink.
9. Fill payment details and upload e-Receipt to complete the application process.
