Strong physical fitness, meeting specific height, chest, race, shotput, and high jump standards, is crucial, along with a commitment to public service in Bihar.

Individuals who lack the specified minimum 5 years of service in the Bihar Home Guard or do not meet the physical eligibility criteria should not apply. Those who are not Indian citizens or Bihar domiciles (for reservation benefits) are also ineligible. Candidates outside the 24-50 age range (as of August 1, 2025) will be disqualified. Applicants who have not completed Intermediate education or cannot commit to the rigorous physical and written examination process will find this role unsuitable.
