Detailed essential qualifications for each post are as follows:
- Chief Research Officer: PhD in Demography/Mathematics/Statistics/Bio-Statistics with 10 years' experience OR M.Tech/Masters in Computer applications with 10 years of experience in Large Scale Survey.
- Senior Programmer: Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or Demography with at least five years of research experience including PhD duration. OR Master Degree in Computer Science / Computer Application with 3 years working experience (out of five years total experience, with minimum two years in large-scale surveys, small area estimation, survey research, and data analytics, and at least one year as a programmer).
- Research Officer: PhD. degree in Demography/Mathematics/Statistics/ Social Sciences/Public Health/Bio-Statistics & Demography.
- Programmer: BE/B. Tech Computer Sciences/B.Sc with Information Technology as a subject and 5 years working experience. OR B.Sc. with at least one paper in Information Technology (IT)/Computer Science, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), and 5 years working experience. OR Master Degree in Computer Science / Computer Application with 3 years working experience.
- Junior Research Officer (Report Writing): Master degree in Population Studies/Demography/Mathematics/Statistics/Social Sciences/ Public Health / Bio-Statics and Demography/ Survey Research and Data Analytics.
- Senior Project Officer (Establishment & Procurement): Post graduate Degree/Diploma in any discipline. (Must be Retired from Central Government from level 10 and above).
- Junior Project Officer: Graduate in any discipline.
