Community Bank Coordinator

This role is ideally suited for highly motivated and community-oriented women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) within the Madurai district. Candidates should possess a minimum 12th standard qualification (10th pass considered for hilly areas), be under 35 years of age, and have at least two years of experience as an SHG promoter. Preference will be given to those with computer skills, a two-wheeler, and a driving license, demonstrating commitment to rural financial inclusion and development.

Individuals who are male (unless from hilly regions where female candidates are unavailable), those above 35 years of age, or applicants without the mandatory two years of SHG promoter experience should not apply. Additionally, candidates currently working full-time in community or private organizations, or those associated with SHGs having non-performing loans, are not eligible.

This position offers a valuable opportunity for community service and engagement within the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission, a government initiative. While the role is contractual and honorarium-based with a modest pay, it provides significant exposure to grassroots development and financial services. The one-year assignment is extendable based on performance, offering continuity for dedicated individuals. However, direct long-term career progression into established government cadres might be limited due to its nature. It's a role focused on on-the-ground impact rather than traditional government career advancement.
