Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary School

Essential:

  • Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary.

Non-Essential (Maximum 5 Marks):

  • NCC 'C' Certificate (5 marks) or 'B' Certificate (3 marks).
  • OR: Participation/achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond.
  • OR: Participation/achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities at National Level or beyond.
  • Higher Secondary: 5% of marks secured.
  • D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed: 5% of marks secured.
  • TET: 85% of marks secured.
  • Non-Essential: 5 marks maximum.

Age Limit Details

The age of the candidate must be between 18 and 40 years as on January 1, 2023. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:

  • Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
  • OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
  • SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
  • Persons with Disability (PwD): up to 50 years

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) with a pay scale of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/-. In addition, they will receive Grade Pay and other allowances as per 'The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019'.
