Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: A Master's Degree in Physical Education or equivalent from a recognized Institute/University with at least 55% marks, OR a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or equivalent from a recognized Institute/University with at least 55% marks.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Diploma or equivalent in Sports Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or any recognized Indian/Foreign University.
- Proficiency in more than one game.
- Representing the University at inter-university or National/State level.
Age Limit Details
The upper age limit is 40 years.
Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms for categories such as SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Ex-Servicemen. Candidates serving in Central/State Government/Autonomous Bodies in a regular position with a minimum of 3 years of continuous service may also receive a 5-year age relaxation.
Salary & Pay Scale
The pay scale for the Deputy Sports Officer is Level 08, with a salary range of Rs. 47,600 to 1,51,100 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
