Field Assistant & Investigator

This role is ideal for recent Post-graduate degree holders in Social Science or Humanities disciplines, particularly those with a keen interest in ethnographic research and fieldwork. Candidates possessing demonstrated experience in village surveys, socio-economic studies, and a willingness to work in challenging hill terrain are highly suitable. Knowledge of Hindi and local Pahari/Jaunsari dialects will be a distinct advantage, enhancing their effectiveness in community engagement.

Individuals seeking long-term or permanent government employment should not apply, as this is a purely temporary, project-based position with a fixed duration of two months. Candidates uncomfortable with extensive fieldwork, staying in field areas, or who lack basic knowledge of Hindi will find the role challenging and may not be considered.
