The Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi is an autonomous institute established under an Act of Parliament. It was set up through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode involving the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, Government of Jharkhand, and industry partners like Tata Technologies Limited, TCS, and CCL.
The institute focuses on applied research and education in Information Technology (IT) and aims to contribute significantly to the global competitiveness of key sectors of the Indian economy and industry. It is managed by a Board of Governors, comprising eminent academicians, researchers, and government and industry representatives, ensuring academic excellence and good governance.
