IPC's primary objectives are to regularly update the Indian Pharmacopoeia by publishing new editions and addenda, and the National Formulary of India. It also prepares, certifies, and distributes reference substances and functions as the National Coordination Centre (NCC) for the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).

Educational Qualification
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, or Clinical Research.
- OR Pharm. D / MBBS / BDS from a recognized University or Institute.
Salary & Pay Scale
Consolidated salary of Rs. 26,250/- per month.
