Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For Project Scientist-III: Candidates must have a Doctoral Degree in Science or a Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Laboratory Technician: Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree or a 3-year diploma in Science, Engineering & Technology.
Desirable qualifications for Project Scientist-III: System administration, managing HPC operations, installation, configuration, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting Linux HPC servers; building and deploying open source/commercial software; diagnosing and resolving system operational problems quickly and effectively; providing technical support for software installation, troubleshooting, data backup/recovery; and day-to-day operations of the bioinformatics facility.

Age Limit Details

Project Scientist-III: Upper age limit is 45 years.
Laboratory Technician: Upper age limit is 50 years.

Salary & Pay Scale

Project Scientist-III: Remuneration of Rs. 78,000/- per month plus 18% HRA. The fellowship would be applicable as per DST guidelines.
Laboratory Technician: Remuneration of Rs. 20,000/- per month plus 18% HRA.
In case candidates do not match the requirements satisfactorily, the Director reserves the right to offer a lower salary.
