Junior Research Fellow

This role is ideal for fresh M.Sc. Botany graduates with a strong academic record, particularly those with a specialization in Taxonomy or Ecology. Candidates possessing field knowledge of plant identification, especially in Northeast India, and proficiency in computer applications and local languages (Hindi, Nagamese/Manipuri) will be highly preferred. Individuals seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as this is a purely contractual position for an initial period of six months. Those above 30 years of age (as on May 31, 2026) without applicable age relaxation, or candidates without an M.Sc. in Botany, are not eligible. Candidates unwilling to work on a project basis should also consider other options.

Working with the Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, under the Ministry of AYUSH, offers significant prestige and exposure to Ayurvedic research within a central government framework.
