Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Biotechnology, Life Science, Entomology, Agricultural Entomology, Bioinformatics, or an allied subject.
Desired Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology, Life Science, Entomology, Agricultural Entomology, or Bioinformatics, coupled with ICAR/CSIR/UGC-NET or equivalent National Level Eligibility Test (as per DST O.M. File No. SB/Z-06/2019 dated 01-02-2024).

Age Limit Details

Maximum age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of the interview.
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India/ICAR rules: SC/ST (+5 years), OBC (+3 years), PwD (+10 years).

Salary & Pay Scale

The emoluments for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) are fixed at Rs. 37,000/- per month, in addition to House Rent Allowance (HRA), as per the provisions of DST O.M. No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 (E-file-41804) dated 26.06.2023.
