Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) 2026: Guest Faculty Recruitment for 1 Post

• Essential Qualifications:
  • A Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant area of specialization.
  • A Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed/M.A. Education) with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited test (SLET/SET). Alternatively, a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016, with amendments, can exempt candidates from NET/SLET/SET. Specific conditions apply for Ph.D. candidates registered prior to July 11, 2009, including a regular mode Ph.D. degree, evaluation by at least two external examiners, an open viva voce, and publication of two research papers (at least one in a refereed journal).
  • A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 globally (QS, THE, or ARWU) is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Urdu: As Urdu is the medium of instruction, proficiency in Urdu is compulsory for all teaching posts. Candidates should have studied Urdu as a medium of instruction or as a subject at X Std., +2/Intermediate, UG, or PG level from recognized Central/State Boards or UGC-recognized universities.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Candidates with a Post Graduate / Ph.D. in Humanities, who are well versed with Madrasa Education and proficient in conducting online classes, will be preferred.

There is no specific general age limit mentioned for applicants. However, retired teachers (Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors) from Government-recognized Institutions below 65 years of age are also eligible to apply.
