Candidates must meet one of the following criteria for the post of Professor (Law) as per UGC Regulations, 2018:
- Option A: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, high-quality published work, a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, a total research score of 120, and a minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience. Evidence of having successfully guided a doctoral candidate is required.
- Option B: An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. from any academic institution/industry, who has made a significant contribution to the knowledge in the relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence, and has ten years of experience.
A relaxation of 5% in marks at the graduate and master's level may be provided for SC, ST, and Differently-abled candidates.
