The educational qualifications vary significantly by post. Key requirements include:
- Professor: Post Graduate Degree, M.Ed. in a specific disability area, and a Ph.D. in Special Education.
- Associate/Assistant Professor: Post Graduate Degree, M.Ed/Ph.D in the relevant specialization (Special Education, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology).
- Lecturer: Post Graduate Degree/Masters or M.Phil in the respective field (Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Special Education).
- Rehabilitation Officer: Post Graduate Degree in Psychology.
- Accountant: Commerce graduate with knowledge of computer and Tally.
- Clerk/Typist: Higher Secondary (10+2) with a typing speed of 35 wpm.
