- PhD degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing, Process and Food Engineering, Food Science & Technology, or Basic Science relevant to Food Science & Technology.
- First Class Master's Degree (60% and above) in the relevant degree as mentioned for PhD.
- A. Scholar Track: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in a concerned/allied/relevant discipline, possessing high-quality published work, actively engaged in research with evidence of at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2.
- B. Professional Track: An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/applied disciplines (from non-academic institutions/industry), having made significant contributions to knowledge in the field, supported by documentary evidence.
