Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.S. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, or allied biomedical sciences from a recognized University/Institute.
• Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale for General category (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
• Desirable Experience: Prior research experience in animal handling and experimentation, immunology, molecular biology, flow cytometry (FACS), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and related biomedical techniques.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum 28 years as on the closing date (05.10.2026). Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PwD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates admissible as per ANRF / Government of India norms.

Located at NIPER Ahmedabad (Palaj, Gandhinagar), an Institute of National Importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Appointees join Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya's laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Dynamic research environment focusing on translational neuroscience, stroke pharmacology, and neuro-immunology. Posting & Transfer Policy

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) can be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) after completion of two years of satisfactory research output and assessment by an internal review committee, with an enhanced fellowship of ₹42,000/- + HRA.
