- Option (a): A Master's Degree in Sociology or Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates meeting this qualification.
- Option (b): A Degree in Social Science, preferably in Sociology or Psychology. Candidates must also be above 35 years of age and actively engaged in social service, welfare activities, and promoting family and child care.
Common requirements for all candidates:
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia, having passed an Odia test equivalent to M.E. standard.
- Must be of sound health, good physique, and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity.
- Must not have more than one spouse living.
