Job Analysis

AI-generated insights

Best-Fit Profile

This paid internship is ideal for bright and ambitious final-year B.E./B.Tech. or M.Sc./M.Tech. students specializing in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Electrical, Material Science, Quantum Technology, Laser Optics, or Semiconductor Device fields. It offers a unique opportunity to gain practical research experience in advanced semiconductor materials and devices within a prestigious government defense research organization like DRDO's Solid State Physics Laboratory.

Important Considerations

Individuals seeking a permanent employment opportunity or a high-paying role should not apply, as this is a fixed 6-month paid internship with a modest stipend of Rs. 5,000/- per month. Candidates not in their final year of eligible degree programs or those unwilling to commit to strict confidentiality and laboratory regulations will find this unsuitable. The internship does not guarantee future employment at DRDO.

Career Impact

Working with DRDO's Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL) offers significant prestige and an invaluable learning experience, enhancing a student's resume with exposure to national importance research. While not a direct employment path, it provides excellent networking opportunities and foundational experience crucial for future careers in advanced research, defense, or academic sectors. The scope is primarily research-oriented within cutting-edge scientific domains.
