Candidates must possess a medical qualification recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons with qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule must also fulfill conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).
- For General discipline/Broad specialty: MD/MS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the respective discipline/subject.
- For Super-Specialty discipline: M.Ch. for surgical super specialties OR D.M. for Medical Super-specialties (3 or 6 years recognized course) or an equivalent qualification.
DNB qualification will be considered as per NMC guidelines.
